And I had my camera. Yes, more sunset pics. But these are actually rather different. Unfortunately I didn't have my wide-angle lens with me so couldn't get great shots of the whole scene laid out in front of me.
The scenery was fantastic - two strips of cloud lit up, showing firey red - almost scarring the sky for miles across. With the silhouettes of the trees and the church tower it made an awe-inspiring sight.
The wide angle lens would have been perfect, damnit! Instead I got some shots of sections of the clouds. They're not quite as impressive but still... and I appear to have lost my FotoCanvasLite so can't crop them. Hrmph. Anyhows - beyond the cut lies...
Two pics of the sky - clouds, colours and all.
Earlier on, the paler red of the clouds running behind the church tower.
And a view of the Gaerloch - the lights at the end are HMS Neptune (Her Majesty's Submarine Base Clyde)

It was just begging to be shot! I walked out the house, looked up and the only thing I could think was "camera. Now!" Not often you get such fantastic views handed to you on a plate.

I'd be so at home in the summer heat there, oh wouldn't I just? *dreams of days in the sun instead of this damn rain*

It's not all that hot here in the summer -- inland they get up in the 90's or higher but where I am it stays at 80 or below.

We're lucky up here to pull out an average 20degC over summer (can't be arsed to do the maths)...
