Not bad news, just pain in the ass news. The test today was a basic audio-typing test. Checking to see you knew what a keyboard, mouse and phone were I think. Great. They coulda told me this before I went, because now I have to go back tomorrow.
For those of you who don't know where Greenock is in comparison to Helensburgh, think of it like a V shape, with sea in the middle of the two uprights - Helensburgh on one side, Greenock on the other. Only way to cross is via the Erskine Bridge, and that's only by car. By train you have to into Glasgow and back, a good 2hr journey. FEH! There is a ferry service to Gourock, but that's only about 3 times a day. I'll have to investigate that more closely.
On the plus side, if I am selected - I will start on Monday. Bonus :) 9-5 training course for 6 weeks, then shifts between 7am and 10:15pm. Not too taxing hours-wise then. Yuh. Also - I'll be buying a car on Sunday if I get selected - because there is no way in hell that I am going to commute that by train every day! No chance.
