To my car trouble. If it's truly the immobiliser, then simply take the batteries out of the remote control when it starts working again, meaning that the alarm can never get set. This would prevent the immobiliser from coming on. Ever.
So I thought tonight, after the car's worked all day (been out a number of times, dad and I have spent an age working on it - sorting out some rusty areas, putting in rear speakers, fixing the slightly leaky sunroof), let's go out for a nice drive and see what nice pictures of Loch Lomond I can find. I get to the place with the best views int he world, stop, take some pictures. Now it's cold and starting to get dark, I think I'd best start getting home.
Guess what?
Yup.
I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere, on a road that would be hell to be towed along (This road is great fun to drive - fast, twisty and slopey) with a car that's refusing to start. I could try to bump start it, but that would involve either me pushing the car uphill on my own, or taking a massive risk and pulling out onto a section of road which cars take at 50+
It wasn't going to happen. Once again I call out my own personal RAC (my dad). We push it up the hill and bump start it. We've now come to the conclusion that it isn't the immobiliser (well it couldn't be), so the starter motor it is. Or something around there. It's booked into the garage on Wednesday at 8:30am. It's under a parts only warranty, so...
*sighs*
I hate cars :)
