Indian Police Network Against Crime
Two good examples of technology helping where it can be used best, for purposes that don't serve any one person or organisation. For very little real cost too. The first example used three computers, and has made a lot of difference to a community and it's people.
I'd love to get involved with something like that... tech for good...
