I've had the most interesting last two days... I've been chatting with this lass on Monochrome for the last few months, only a message every week or so, exchanging pleasantries, but she sent me her mobile number on Monday. So we spent the afternoon/evening sending random SMSs, and she ended up calling on Monday night, we spent nearly an hour on the phone.

Nothing apart from random chat, to be honest, but it was really nice!! It's really nice to chat with someone who is intelligent (final year doctor!), who shares my crappy music tastes, who reads books like mine!! Not that I'm saying we're soul mates or anything, that would be too hopeful right now, but it _is_ nice :)

Hell, I don't even know what she looks like.... *shrugs* Not like I'm _after_ a relationship right now...

We talked tonight for a while and I think I said it right when I said that I needed to live my life rather than spend 2yrs (which is how long she thinks it'll be) waiting for her to do what she needs to do. I mean, if it were 6 months I'd wait. We've been together for 18 months now and it's been getting harder and harder - I guess I just had to say in the end enough is enough. I need to live!

But as I say - I'm most definitely not after a new relationship right now - no matter how much I go on about this Sara lass I refuse to allow that to become an obsession. OK? :)

A bit of a KLF fascination... well, OK - I've always had a KLF fascination after my parents bought "The White Room" on CD. David (SBJ) hasn't helped matters, by providing me with KLF/JAMS/Justified and Ancients tracks up to my eyeballs. But this song, "Build A Fire" just does it for me :) Hits all the right spots and makes me relax almost instantly.

Next on the playlist, who knows? :)

I really do. I miss for one thing, the Scottish accent. The Manchester accent is horrid and I can never get used to not hearing the harsh, jarring sound of Glasweigans surrounding me. This is what you get for listening to early KLF, I guess. They really do sound Scots in this song :)

I also miss Glasgow as a city. Whilst Manchester is a lovely place with lovely people, the city itself doesn't have _that_ much going for it. Or I don't think so, anyhow. It has clubs coming out of it's major arteries, for every type of music possible. It has shops - hundreds of the things. It has everything but it doesn't seem to have much to hold me. No prettiness, no decent parks, no cosmopolitan atmosphere for the non-cosmopolitan crowd. Manchester's main Street (Market St.) is a hole, it's disgusting.

*sighs*

I need to get to both Maidenhead and Cambridge in about 5 day's time. I can't really do it by train, as it will cost nearly £120!!! Uhmmm, I can't rent a car from the big firms, as I'm not 23 yet, and most of them specify 25 as minimum age anyhow!

Sigh
