pmsumner at 01:05am on 30/01/2001I really do. I miss for one thing, the Scottish accent. The Manchester accent is horrid and I can never get used to not hearing the harsh, jarring sound of Glasweigans surrounding me. This is what you get for listening to early KLF, I guess. They really do sound Scots in this song :)
I also miss Glasgow as a city. Whilst Manchester is a lovely place with lovely people, the city itself doesn't have _that_ much going for it. Or I don't think so, anyhow. It has clubs coming out of it's major arteries, for every type of music possible. It has shops - hundreds of the things. It has everything but it doesn't seem to have much to hold me. No prettiness, no decent parks, no cosmopolitan atmosphere for the non-cosmopolitan crowd. Manchester's main Street (Market St.) is a hole, it's disgusting.
