I've been, I can't believe I actually dragged myself to the gym a long last, and yep I do feel better for it. Hopefully this'll be enough to persuade myself that I can do it more often. YAY! :)

It's the first one I've watched all the way through, and it surprised me at how grpping it really all is... it shouldn't be, I know, but it is really quite tense. Most of that is mood music and good editing - but still - I like to be entertained in a way that makes my emotions come out to play :)

It doesn't happen very often *grin*

Unfortunately most of it has been forgotten....
I like the fact that you can have different "levels" of posts in this... it's nice. Comforting, in fact. I also like the fact you can't see who reads it, unlike Monochrome's diaries, where you get a log of all your readers. It can be a bad thing.

I wish I wish I wish I knew what I wanted from my life. I keep on trying to figure it out, but the answer isn't forthcoming. My meeting with Gareth (3rd yr project supervisor) was tough on me, he seems to h ave hit on a lot of home truths that I really didn't need spelt out to me. Whilst I've always known them, I guess I could have done without him telling me how much he knew :)

Basically - I'm a lazy git. If I wanted to do the work, I could do. But thinking about it, and sitting down, and DOING it, is a challenge. There's too much more I could be doing with my time, even if it IS watching TV, or reading websites, or learning anothe rprogramming language - the point here is that it isn't work. It's something I want to do.

*shrugs*

When I get into the workplace this'll either have to change, or I'll have to make sure I get an interesting job.... doing stuff I enjoy doing....

I knew I'd get round to this eventually...

So. TTPCom, my 2nd interview with them. A Mobile Telecoms company based in Cambridge. Interviewed by 3 seperate people - one techy geek who got on my nerves, one guy who I can't remember, and one "Operations Manager" (all potential recruits get vetted by a board member apparently).

They all asked vaguely similar questions. The only one that caught me out was the "why do you think we should take you on" question from the Board member. I knew it was coming, but was still totally unprepared for it :-( There was a tech question (C programming) that I could answer a lot of, but the guy obviously wanted to ask me questions about something I knew nothing about. Whether this is a bad thing or not, I don't know. It did mean that he got to see how well I picked up on a new idea, I guess....

It wasn't bad, it wasn't good... I don't want to predict how it went. As I say, last time I was there I thought it went REALLY badly, but they asked me back.....

Tuesday, Hitachi Systems Europe. Based in Maidenhead, and yet another mobile comms company. The job - dependant on skills and demand, anywhere from GUI/HCI development through to low level chip integration. Two stage interview - 1st stage with 2 techs, who went through my CV and asked about group/project work and a few basic techy questions to gague whether I at least knew about some new developments in Comms (I did *grins happilly*). 2nd stage, a personality-type test, four questions probing areas of initiative, ambition/drive, team-working skills and time-keeping skills. With examples for all of them. Was prepared for this, as they sent something detailing what would be asked in that section. Didn't go toooooo badly, though one of the sections (ambition/drive) could have done a little better in examples.....

All in all, not a bad two days. The travelling was tough, but hey - you do what you gotta :) I did get to see 3 London train Stations.
