I took a little more time over some of these, though I still haven't shaved, because I'm a lazy bum.

I went out to meet Lou, Laura, glo, whatever you wanna call her, in Glasgow. Turned up at the Solid Rock at 8, only to get an SMS saying "won't be there 'till 9". Grrr. Women! So I ended up going for a walk along the Clyde, just from Central Station to where the Waverly was docked, and back again. Actually was hoping Silk & Secrets might be open, but it was closed, bah.

Anyhow, she arrived, we had a drink, chatted, went for a pizza at Pizza Hut on the corner of Argyll & Union St, chatted, joked, was nice. Just... nice. We weren't there for any reason, and it was so relaxed. I'm almost disappointed in myself that I refused to go back to Luce's - if you read this hun, it's not because I hate you or anything, honest!

Mini-Rant, maybe more like a complaint than a rant? )

How happy do I look? LOL. You wouldn't believe it by looking at these pics, but I'm not a sulky bastard :)

I've just had a thought. A very interesting thought. I wonder.... I wonder if it'd be worth making my own web based front end to LJ? I know it's replicating work that done already, but it would be at least an exercise in working on stuff that I don't know that much about. I've already got the bare bones of a client in Perl, from which I could simply copy and paste the innards - leaving only the interface to sort out, which is where I am currently falling down.

Hmmmm.

I had steak for tea, a nice thick fillet steak. When at Makro yesterday, mum picked up a pack of 10 steaks, costing nearly £30, but the guy at the checkout didnae scan them, nor the salmon steaks! Wheee. Saved us over £35. Of course we didn't realise this until we'd got home, and it was too far to drive back, honest *grins* Nice extra-rare steak and roast sweet potatoes. Yummy. Simple too.

*drools at the thought*

Tonight's Futurama was good :) Leela found out who her parents were. And I'd never seen the Simpsons episode with Homer doing his knee in, and setting up the nursery, so of course I laughed myself silly at that. Then watched (or attempted to watch) the Raising of the Kursk on Discovery.

It was awful - they spent so much time concentrating on the human aspect of it and nowhere near enough time talking about the technical aspect. I would have loved to know how they did it. Whilst I kinda understand, that's not why I watch Discovery, to be told how much the loved ones are grieving . You would almost believe that I don't have a father who spent over 20yrs serving on board various ships and submarines.

Speaking of which, he's either now in, or likely very soon to be in San Diego. Bastard. :)

Anyhow, yes. So now I'm going to do some work. Honest - guv'.
