I drove everywhere to find a Wavefinder (I decided last night I could justify it to myself). But no, could I find one anywhere? *anywhere*? I went into every Currys, every Maplins, every PC World and every Dixons I know - and none of them had one I could buy. Dixons in Clydebank had one without an aerial, which is fairly useless. So I used half a tank of petrol and am absolutely knackered now, for what? Oh - I bought a new filing box thingie to keep my records in, and a spiral-bound notepad for work.

Looks like I might need to order one from Psion :-\ ... :-(

I may just not buy a wavefinder and save the money until next month to buy a DVD player, or a decent monitor. A DVD player is vaguely more useful, and you can pick up a half-decent model for £150 these days. Possibly, then again - I may just save the money again and shove it on my easyMoney.com card. I have lots of gadgets I don't use to their full extent - such as my digital camera and my Handspring Visor. I should investigate flogging one of these off and putting it towards paying off my debts before buying something else.

A life without debt... Can anyone imagine such a thing? Is there anyone who reads this who is over the age of 18 and who also has no debt (ignoring credit cards)?

*waits 'till the end of the month to decide how much to pay off on his cards*

Today they're focussing on a call centre, talking about targets and goals and lost calls and calls waiting is quite scary. I do feel sorry for the middle-management, who are being shunted from pillar to post. Aww, and one of them has just left :( *sniffles*

I'm just glad that for the first 6 months, our stats don't affect anything too seriously. Or, they do affect things, but in a reduced capacity personally, and as far as I can tell they don't affect the team stats. Have to have a few words with Ronnie when we get in on Monday, make sure our expectations are the same as his. Yep.

Some nice pics today, I think. Went out around 8pm to Loch Lomond and Duck Bay, the road from the North Gate of HMS Neptune to Luss is un-numbered but such fun to drive. Stunning views too. I'll upload the pics to http://www.cus.org.uk/~phil-99/ and http://philsumner.co.uk/ tomorrow morning or something.
