Seeing as my body/brain is in the "let's not bother sleeping" mindset, I may as well look at what I've been up to and so on. I've no idea when I last updated, so I'll just have a quick check...

Very little, to be brutally honest. Since Sunday? Worked mon/tues, where I was threatened with legal action against myself for not being helpful enough with someone when I'd tried everything I could do for them. Been enjoying the work mostly. Call monitorings have been going well - Ronnie [t/m] reckons I seem to be doing alright on varying calls and my stats are basically good, with a couple of glitches where I've been forgetting to log out on breaks, or having to spend lots of time on one or two time-consuming calls.

Today I went with mum to Ikea, where I picked up two coffee mugs and another CD tower. I like Ikea's "Benno" style CD towers, because they are a simple design and build, very tall and thin and hold 180 albums each. Only I don't like paying £35 each. I guess it's only 19.4p on the price of each CD I buy *grins* Good thing number 2 - they can be adjusted to take videos and DVDs :)

Went to see Goldmember on uhhhm, Sunday? That's not a bad film. Typical Austin Powers style. Went to see Minority Report tonight, which was rather good. Lots of little touches within the film which made it really believeable that we could be looking at a real version of the future - things like... the cereal packet, the phones or the newspapers (you'll know what I mean if you've seen it). It's based on a Philip Dick story, so you've got the typical theme of well... "what's really real?", I guess. Well worth watching.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2162075.stm - Disposable mobiles hit the shops

What, you mean most people here think that mobile phones aren't disposable? Wow....

It's basically a PAYG phone, stripped down. Selling for US$40. BTW - do Pay As You Go (prepay) phones exist in the US? I don't know... I never imagined that they would be a popular idea, or even sold. Hmm. Nice idea, I guess. Though the only reason I can see it selling in a big way, is with tourists who don't have a phone that will work in the US (tri-band). I know I'd find it useful if I were on holiday there and didn't buy another tri-band h/set.
