Customer Services gone mad.
Soooooooooo - woke up at 9:30am by the blody postman - why does he always ring MY doorbell? It's pissing me off. Slept again until late. Woke up to find a bill on my doorstep from Scottish Power for £81 or so. Not bad, think I, for 3 months. Until my brain woke up.
The more astute and interested amongst you may remember that WAY back in November, I changed my electricity supplier to Powergen. I have the letters and everything - dated 25th Nov 2002 - which states "Thanks for choosing Powergen. We're pleased to be able to tell you we've completed the transfer of your electricity and that you're now one of our customers".
Is it so unreasonable to expect that after reading that letter, I don't get another bill from Scottish Power for electricity after that period? They are blaming Powergen, Powergen are blaming the meter reading company. I am blaming Powergen and Scottish Power. It's been 3 months, goddamnit! I've been paying a direct debit to Powergen for 5 months. I am not paying Scottish Power as well.
I called up someone from SP and told them I would not be paying the bill until this is sorted. Didn't seem particularly receptive, so I await the arrival of red reminders. At that point, I think I may go mad.
