I was a little unhappy yesterday when I received an application form from Derbyshire County Council for my dream job. It was advertised as a FT position, but when it came through and I read all the info on it, there was a page at the back which said "Due to an error, this job was adv as f/t when it's actually only 2 days a week on job-share".

Argh.

Anyhow. I got a call at work on Tuesday regarding a phone interview for a position in Dearne, called back today and they seemed to think I was applying as a new applicant, not for an internal vacancy. So they asked me all the questions I'd already answered on the app form, told me I'd go through 6 weeks training and start on a level 1 salary again! What? No chance!

Must speak with Ronnie and get him to find out how I can go about getting a move...

Still no news on the "Genesys Call Routing Analyst" position... Nothing from Lancashire County Council either, but I'm not expecting anything for a wee while.

Wedding this weekend. Should be fun. Should be interesting. Can't wait. Only thing that is going to be odd is the driving. Have to go across the country right into Edinburgh, then down. Someone really needs to build more cross-country roads in Scotland rather than up-and-down roads.

Got a haircut yesterday! I like the lass who does it there, she's cute :) My hair no longer looks like a long shaggy mass on the top of my head. Just a slightly shorter shaggy mass.

I can't believe it's Thursday today, need to start planning the weekend properly. The weekend's just crept up on me sneakily.

I've just had a rather odd conversation with someone from HFC Bank (who provided the cash for my laptop).

They're trying to get me to switch the type of account I have with them. Not big on details right now, but I'm not commiting to anything by answering their questions, am I? And besides - I ain't silly enough to make a rash decision regarding my money :) Well, not when I've already made one rash decision on this purchase already *G*

Speaking of which, my Barclays account is due to switch from Graduate to "normal smeggy person's account" in the not too distant. I'm gonna head down to the Bank of Scotland or HSBC and ask them about opening a new account with them and then paying off Barclays slowly.

I am The Glanconer... doing some reading on this particular character led me to this description...

The Glanconer's eyes are black as sloes and his words are sweeter than honey. He walks the woods by twilight, prowling for women to charm and kiss. Beware. Dealing with the Love Talker involves a risk - an elemental risk. It might be an exhilerating experience treasured for the rest of your life - or you might pine away when the faery's gone and no one man's touch can equal his. The Glanconer, like sweet-talking human lover boys, takes you for a walk on the wild side of Faery. It could be the making of you...or lead to pain and despair.

Another one...

The Irish glanconer, or Love-Talker, appears in the form of a charming young man -- but woe to the woman who sleeps with him, for she will pine for this fairy's touch, and lose all will to live

Hmmm, this doesn't bode well for the future success of a long term relationship *G*

Calliste gave me these questions AGES ago. My apologies for leaving it so long, but I forgot completely that I saved this as a draft in LogJam on mainpc (my network naming is so imaginative... "mainpc", "router" and "laptop"!)
