Eh? There are possibly 2 times in my time with Barclays so far, where I feel that I have had to go into a branch and talk to someone. This is when I wanted a loan from them, and also when I went seriously broke.

Why are so many banks (especially banks) advertising this as a good thing? I'd rather speak with someone who knows what they're doing who's based in a contact centre, rather than someone who is well meaning and employed at "my local branch" but doesn't know what the big picture is...

Anyhow. Considering this was written 4-5hrs ago and forgotten about, oops.

I've been trying to watch Gladiator on Channel 5. Gawds this is an awful film. It's so DULL! That's me an hour through it and as far as I can tell, he's killed a few people and well... that's about it. (OK I guess it didn't help that I was desperately trying to get public key authentication working properly between me and philsumner (.co.uk) and failing, but still I was watching fairly closely)

I'm astounded at the lack of webpages out there that have any decent information on how to do what I wanted to do. Or if there are many, none of them came up in a google search :)

I don't know what time I'm working next week. I _think_ it's 1100-1930 but I'd best check before bed :)

You know, I've given this Evanescence album a few listens today and it's very agreeable. Might have to head out and buy it sometime.

Argh, my neck hurts. REALLY have to find a better spodding position. Ahh, there we go. Putting the laptop to it's named use, on my lap.

Again with the lack of writing...

When at work, playing with the firewall/proxy one day, I found I could actually "get round" it. Not the way I expected either. It appears that it's more of a proxy than anything, and it appears that the proxy is quite happy to forward connections on port 22, so my sshd running on port 443 was a waste of time, because that just didn't work at all... (tried telling the proxy to forward ot port 443 but it just spat it's dummy out at me).

Just needs to have the right kind of proxy chosen. Odd that - was sure had tried it before. Maybe not, maybe I am just losing my mind.

(Oh and I used quotes round "get round" because I don't think I am getting round anything, it's taken me way too long to figure out how though.)

I'm very excited about Friday.
