pmsumner at 10:16pm on 19/10/2003When at work, playing with the firewall/proxy one day, I found I could actually "get round" it. Not the way I expected either. It appears that it's more of a proxy than anything, and it appears that the proxy is quite happy to forward connections on port 22, so my sshd running on port 443 was a waste of time, because that just didn't work at all... (tried telling the proxy to forward ot port 443 but it just spat it's dummy out at me).
Just needs to have the right kind of proxy chosen. Odd that - was sure had tried it before. Maybe not, maybe I am just losing my mind.
(Oh and I used quotes round "get round" because I don't think I am getting round anything, it's taken me way too long to figure out how though.)
