Looking forward to Tuesday. Driving down to West Felton to see the pipsytip person in her home surroundings with no parents involved. Not looking forward to the driving because I have no idea where the hell I am going :)

Well, that's not true. I know vaguely where I am going. But the specifics, I am short on. i.e. I know I can go down the M1, through Derby Utoxeter, Stoke, or at least that vague area... or I can go across the Penines on the A628, A560, M60, then on the M56 to Chester, and then the A483/A5 to wherever the hell this place is :)

Both ways work. Perhaps the A628 will be hell, but that late at night it will be OK. I think on balance, I at least know vaguely where I am going that way, so will probably take the M56 route. There's more motorway involved and I like m/way driving.

The clock in my living room has run out of battery power. This is a bad thing as it has been 1945 for a number of hours now, and I only know what time it is by the clock on the PC :) I am very very confused right now.

Bought a bottle of wine tonight from Rythm and Booze (offie down the street) which isn't really very pleasant. Might be nice but I haven't enjoyed any of the single glass I had in the slightest. Not sure if it's me or otherwise.

Tom Cruise looks ridiculous in a leather waistcoat that's just a little bit too small, by the way. Has anyone told him this? (am watching Magnolia, btw)

I've been to two take out places in Barnsley in the past two days (yes I've been a lazy fat bugger), neither of which I would go back to. They were OK foodwise but the appearance of them... nahh. Not again. Think I'll be going back to the Jalsa curry place soon. Without Jane, so I can get something ridiculously hot and covered in onions :))

I've applied for a job at Vodafone. Godknows why. It's a similar position to what I am currently doing, but purely 3rd line (at the moment even though my team is a Technical team, our position is classified as Customer Service, so we not only have to deal with Blackberry, TMCC and connectivity issues, we're expected to be as good as a frontline advisor at dealing with frontline calls, and as good as a 2nd line advisor at dealing with voicemail, SMS, and 2nd line issues.

In other words, we essentially have 3 roles to fill. I want to rid myself of two of these so that I can concentrate on the technical stuff and won't have to deal with customers shouting at me because their line was suspended. I'm fed up of it again.

I've got a couple of cool sounding applications for various jobs in local councils which I have mostly filled in other than the bits which actually sell myself. The "why do you think you are good for this job" type crap. I guess this is the stuff that I dread more than anything else. I ain't good at talking myself up...
