Well, I've requested about 6 or 7 application forms from various employers on sector1 today, several of them promising. I'll start picking up local papers that cover as much of Yorkshire as possible with job ads in them.

I want to stay here in the vague area, I really do. Jane and I have been looking at locations and I think we've decided that staying around Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, Batley area looks about where we want to be living. Seen some nice houses on Rightmove :) However, we're not looking to move for good few months yet. Jane needs to make sure she's getting made permanent with a decent payrise - I want to carry on looking locally.

Anyone got any jobs going? ;)

Jane has managed to lose 4lbs this week on the Slimming World watch what you eat thingie (it's NOT a diet). Very cool. She's also made progress at work and is no longer as unhappy there as she was. She has a "grand plan" and is on the way to being made permanent rather than a contractor. She also feels much happier about "things" in her life and is generally happy.

This puts her way ahead of me *smiles* Ack.
Not that I'm competetive or anything.

This is really quite grim. But however grim it is, it's still really fascinating.

Yesterday we saw the skin being peeled off a human in one - like taking off a one-piece suit. Then seeing the muscles from every part of the body and where it fits and how it works. Today we see the ribcage being peeled back and their heart, lungs and digestive systems being revealed.

It's really educational - I'm learning lots about the human body I didn't know before. It's also quite disturbing to be made to see what's inside me, and to see exactly how it all fits.

EDIT: I must say, it was quite a disturbing evening yesterday - watching "Anatomy for Beginners" then watching "The Fly". I'd never seen it before - Jeff Goldblum plays a really good part, and I enjoyed it a lot. Must watch again.
