This is really quite grim. But however grim it is, it's still really fascinating.

Yesterday we saw the skin being peeled off a human in one - like taking off a one-piece suit. Then seeing the muscles from every part of the body and where it fits and how it works. Today we see the ribcage being peeled back and their heart, lungs and digestive systems being revealed.

It's really educational - I'm learning lots about the human body I didn't know before. It's also quite disturbing to be made to see what's inside me, and to see exactly how it all fits.

EDIT: I must say, it was quite a disturbing evening yesterday - watching "Anatomy for Beginners" then watching "The Fly". I'd never seen it before - Jeff Goldblum plays a really good part, and I enjoyed it a lot. Must watch again.

we used to work on a lot of anatomy books here for the universities. A lot of them used photos rather than drawings. I was ok with everything but the eyeballs.

I will admit that satan was always thoughtful enough to give the cat dissection books to someone else to work on!
