The car's making a slightly disturbing noise from the driver's side front axle (sp?) on left turns whilst accelerating from low speed. I have suspicions as to what may be causing this, but I don't want to think about it too much as I know if I'm right, it's going to be pricey to fix. I'm going to take it to the Renault garage sometime early and get them to look at it, give me a quote to fix whatever it is they claim is wrong, then ask about. It's not like there's a shortage of garages round here.

Only two job outings on tommorrow... a BK and a Dixons. Two phone calls as well but they're really quick.

Then it's back to work on Tuesday. That will be a fun return to work questioning session, I'm sure. I'm not at all sure I want to go back... even after being off sick, I've had a good week, much better than being at work - I'm certain of that.

Fah, I say. Fah. Car booked in for Monday. Pain working Tue-Sat means can't get things booked in on Saturdays.

Jobs done, guy in Dixons was almost perfect, would have gotten no negative remarks from me at all until he mentioned that he was employee of the month yet hated his job, and how that was ironic. Oops. BK staff were all sat around the restaraunt chatting. Not good.

Inland Revenue letter sent away, application for a Small Earnings Exception certificate. As I make piddling amounts of money from the MSing there's no way I should ever have to pay class 2 NI contributions. That's my understanding of it, anyhow. The whole tax situation with respect to being self-employed (some of the time) is a pain in the ass and I had no idea that you needed to do some of the stuff that you need to do.

Or otherwise my employers have overpaid me. Though nothing would surprise me from these fools. Wow, I really do sound warped, bitter and twisted about them... don't I?

Wahey. I have installed, configured and made work MovableType. It was a bit of a challenge, not sure exactly why. Maybe that's why I only just realised that I haven't been to the gym when I promised myself I would. Go now? No...

What the hell is going on in Edinburgh? I don't get it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4646491.stm for those of you who don't know what I'm on about.

Makes me feel sad for anybody who has the misfortune to be there now.

OK, comments requested...

It's not much, but it appears to work, at least internally on my wee network. Anyone care to try it out? There's only one entry, so don't expect a thrilling read or anything. Can some kind soul tell me if it even looks like it should work?
