Jane came up Friday, spent the weekend and has only just left. Yay. Friday evening we had curry and beer, and lo, life was good. Saturday we slept in stupidly late, and went to Ikea. I bought a new duvet cover and resisted the temptation to buy more CD towers (really cheap) because I'm going to be moving house soon - right? We had lunch (yay for Buy One Get One Free offers), and went to Borders where Jane spent a ridiculous amount on books.

Saturday evening I had a Maritz job for the PRS (Performing Rights Society). Noting down what live music was played at a particular venue. This guy was - well - to say that he was singing Elvis Presley songs with a Yorkshire accent probably helps describe how dire he was. "Barry B. Good" was his stage name. It was bad. It was 2 and a half hours worth of bad.

Though, I get paid for it and drinks paid for, can't complain that much.

The next week is going to be a spectacularly difficult one. 'An emotional roller-coaster', somebody who speaks in cliché might say. I should come out of it with smiles all round if I'm lucky.

I'm so wild. I've trawled a load of half-decent job sites (meaning 'not Monster') and sent off around 7-10 applications for varying jobs. Favourite one is this one, an "Internal Verifier", checking up on people delivering NVQs. Don't fully expect to get it but it sounds interesting.

Tomorrow is a busy-ish day, with 2 short notice 'pet stores', a very short notice (mmm nice fee) phone shop, and also short notice post office. Lots of phone calls to make and emails to reply to. Phone calls to await. I fully expect to hear from Gail at TLG tomorrow - she said it was either going to be tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on how quickly they could get the position signed off, which seems a bit backwards to me - why interview for a position when you don't know it's going to be approved yet?

Am ever so slightly nervous.
