Jane came up Friday, spent the weekend and has only just left. Yay. Friday evening we had curry and beer, and lo, life was good. Saturday we slept in stupidly late, and went to Ikea. I bought a new duvet cover and resisted the temptation to buy more CD towers (really cheap) because I'm going to be moving house soon - right? We had lunch (yay for Buy One Get One Free offers), and went to Borders where Jane spent a ridiculous amount on books.
Saturday evening I had a Maritz job for the PRS (Performing Rights Society). Noting down what live music was played at a particular venue. This guy was - well - to say that he was singing Elvis Presley songs with a Yorkshire accent probably helps describe how dire he was. "Barry B. Good" was his stage name. It was bad. It was 2 and a half hours worth of bad.
Though, I get paid for it and drinks paid for, can't complain that much.
The next week is going to be a spectacularly difficult one. 'An emotional roller-coaster', somebody who speaks in cliché might say. I should come out of it with smiles all round if I'm lucky.
