May. 26th, 2008.
Lovely place, if not slightly odd. The rain probably didn't help, but we had a good three hours there looking around and exploring the sea-side trail.
I have a million-and-one photos which I will post when I get unfettered access to the PC. Typing on the Windows Mobile on-screen keyboard is not fun...
We came to put David and Dawn into bed last night only to find the air-bed is punctured :( Attempted a quick repair but at 1am I was not the most enthusiastic! One of them is now in the single bed and the other on the sofa.
We've had a
boneistand
sbj180staying with us this weekend. Yesterday we practiced our accents and got out our passports - and went on a day trip to North Wales. Our eventual aim was Portmeirion, as I am somewhat a fan of The Prisoner I was quite excited.
The journey was fraught with caravans, busses and motor-homes going down roads which frankly were inappropriate even for a car! Add to the mix a bicycle race round the roads of North Wales and you have a really uhhhm, "interesting" drive.
Portmeirion itself is easy enough to find, as long as you follow the signs. Dump your car and walk to the village and you get the first signs that things are a little bit odd in the village.
