pmsumner at 11:00pm on 22/07/2002Damn it's good. Spent a fortune at Lupe Pintos, which is a Mexican/American/Thai/Spanish food selling place on Great Western Road. It's fabulous. Mango and Peach Salsa with Jalepeno flavoured Tortillas. I coulda finished off the whole bowl if I hadn't caught myself :)
So... when was my last update then?
Basically, life is good. Work is work, not exciting but it's workish. Went out for a drink after work with Nicole (only way I can remember her name? "Papa.... Nicole!") and Adelle - wish I coulda stayed longer but what with driving I knew that if I stayed I woulda had another drink or three. And that would not have been good. Soooo... it was nice. More drinks woulda been even nicer :)
Working the weekend was freaky. The building was dead. There were only about 3 teams in on the ground floor. The place is normally crowded. The available/call waiting thing was weird too - swung rapidly from 10 CW to 20 available all day long, especially around mealtimes and the Eastender omnibus..... :-)
I decided to buy myself one of the 5 port USB hubs advertised in Maplin's sale catalogues today. My dad and I both expressed interest so I bought two. Neat because it sits in the 5.25" drive bay. Kludgey, because it runs off a cable which goes through a blanking plate to a USB port in the back. Problem, because my case is a full tower, and very tall, yet the cable was very short...
It's so fantastic, because now I no longer need to fiddle arse around the back to plug in my camera or my Visor when I change things around, as I am prone to doing. Though it does have one problem - it takes up one power plug and I no longer have any left - this means that I am currently without CD drive, only DVD drive which is slightly fussy....
