Today I got 5 minutes up the road, and realised that my car wasn't right. Something just didn't feel OK, ya know? At first I thought that funny noise was just the music (Orb Remix Project - you do get some funny noises), until I tried accelerating and found that treacle woulda moved faster than the car.

Pulled over and checked it over. Flat passenger-side rear tyre. Damnit. Why does this only happen when I need to be somewhere? Changed tyre after fighting with jack and tyre-iron (didn't know where the jack points were, coulda found them quickly if I'd looked in the Haynes' Manual, and couldn't get the damn trim off...), and much jumping on the wrench to make sure it was tight.

Got to Lyndsey less than 10 minutes late, which I thought was damned impressive, considering I thought I was going to be more than 10 late when I set off from home! Got to work, had quick peek at tyre, found gaping hole in rim, which looks distinctly like a knife-hole. Get very angry. Decide tyre been slashed, considering it was fine last night, and wasn't this morning. Tell everyone, including parents.

Get home, check flat tyre over once more, find that 'mark' is on inside of rim. Ooops. If someone slashed it, they had very flexible arms. Damn. I was all angry over that, too! All I need now is to replace my spare, and try to get the trim back on. If it's as hard getting it back on as it was getting it off, forget it :)

Drink lots of beer. Nice. Relax. Feel that work is going well, mostly. Honeymoon is well and truly over, however. Two things of note - I transferred money between PAYG accounts the other day, which we don't generally do - but I decided I'd make an exception this time. Now the dude is kicking up a fuss, through CERT (Customer Escalations Resolutions Team) claiming that he didn't ask for that. I counteracted that with "well, do you think I would do something that takes a damn lot of effort like that, just because I felt like it?". We shall see what response comes.

Secondly - I got a "ticking off" from TDMS because I wanted to ensure that I explored all avenues open to me, and get a resolution for the customer, rather than just say "we don't support this handset, bugger off". It's frustrating that I spent time trying to help him and all they can do is be arsey about it.
Mood:: annoyed?
