Until I got a couple of comments on it from people who I know are Anime likers, I didn't even think about it. I didn't even know it was an Anime series. Then I went and did a quick search and found http://www.futureblues.com/ which explained everything and made me feel kinda sheepish :)

The name Cowboy Bebop is just scary. It gave me horrible mental images of Johnny Nashville attempting to sing bebop songs.

Anime can do what it likes as far as I care, I'm not against or for it. I've only ever seen one or two anime films.
