We also have Sci-Fi... this means we have Babylon 5. I wish I could express how happy this makes me!

Good thing about Sci-fi is they play random anime movies and series i want to watch... bad thing is they never tell me when they're on!
The other week a movie called "Akira" was on - i had the luck to catch it 2 minutes from the end *sigh* I wanted to see that to see if it was worth getting on dvd for while i'm away! *squeak* That's also the channel that plays my Evangelion...
And my mum watches babylon 5 and the twilight zone. heh. Twiglet zone ^_^

*smiles* Actually, it's Bravo that has Babylon 5, but that's not important :)

I love it :)))

Watched Akira last night (on DVD). Liked it lots but will have to watch it again, as it confused the hell out of me. Still, nowehere near as bad as Ghost in the Shell. I even read about half of the GitS manga and still don't understand... :-)

I'm not sure watching the whole thing actually halps with understanding, TBH. ;-) Also, you have to be careful about which version you get - some of the American translations are appalling.

*noddles* I know. I thought the translation of princess mononoke was really good, but some things like gundam wing are appaling.

Even better: less than a month to go! (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006ISHM/ref=sr_aps_dvd_1_1/026-7155659-7433257) :-)

MEEP! *bounces* So much money! Ouch...
I have In the Beginning on DVD, so I am happy for now. However... wonder if you can get it from the US any sooner?

I just got In the Beginning and the Gathering on DVD (Reg 1). As for ordering from the US: release date for UK (Region 2): Oct. 14th. Release date for US (Region 1): Nov. 5th. Tee hee. And while Amazon.com do the whole thing for USD50, the shipping costs would probably end up being horrendous, so I reckon the best deal is with amazon.co.uk.

Now, if I could only get IE to view the amazon pages without crashing, I might even get the Y/C lead for my PS2 that I'm after...

Minor correction: amazon.com have now raised the price to USD seventy-something.

But look at the extras you get on the region 1 discs, that the region 2 discs don't even mention. How damn unfair is that? :( *sulks*
