Story about work - not ranty either :)

Long call, cute lass had lots of questions about her first bill, I spent a while explaining to her, everything that she asked. Ronnie (t/m) came over and sat beside me as he wanted to talk about something or other, just as I was ending the call. I meant to say to her "If you have any further questions at all, dopn't worry about calling back", but how did it come out?

If you have any further questions about your bill at all, don't bother calling back".......

Cue much laughter and red-facedness, having just done this in front of Ronnie. Oops. I think she understood that it was a perfectly honest mistake.

The reason Ronnie was coming to talk to me? Call monitorings! I was quite worried at this point. How did they go? For the month: 80%, 85%, 95%, 100%. Fantastic. Gives me an average of 90% for October in quality terms. This means I am now well on track for at least level 2 in the middle of next year. Also found out from Ronnie that my extra BPS (Bonus - Bonus Performance Scorecard) payment for September was approved, even though I shouldn't get it for some reason or another. This means a nice wee bonus in my paycheque. And lastly? High Value training comes soon, within the next 3 weeks, apparently. This means I will be trained to deal with the assholes and can actually give more than £10 credit in one shot. (You have no idea how hard/annoying it is to credit back £100 when you can only give £10 at a time!).

Outside of work? I went to the Burrel the other day. Enjoyed myself immensely. Found some fascinating pieces of work that I don't remember from the past, other classics which stay almost permanently on display. Though I was disappointed to find that "The Thinker" wasn't there.

Arranging to buy a special lady a special present. I promised this a long time ago and only recently has it come to reality with her deciding which one she wants (I wish we all got this choice, I tell you). I hope it brings many hours of pleasure!

Been chatting with [livejournal.com profile] amphigorey13 far too much :) Having fun with it. Awaiting my phone call on Friday with considerable trepidation!

Nahhhhh. Too much is a relative term - for example, today I have been thinking that I want to talk right now, damnit! :)

Pretty soon you'll get to be the Recording guy--you know,
"Your call is very important to us. Please hold while we ignore it..."

Puts on mock caring accent: "We care about all our customers very much - thank you for your patience while we sit on our arses and badmouth you." :)

Haha! I KNEW it! I knew that's what they do on the phone...

(At least in Minnesota--Qwest has the worst customer service I've ever seen...Hooboy!)

Yeah, that's why they changed from US West to Quest, so that people wouldn't call them US Worst.
