"The BNP took the seat with 578 votes to Labour's 562, the Lib Dems 505 and the Conservatives 154, with turnout at 39%"...

I hope you people who didn't vote now see why you damn well should. 18 of you. Eighteen. That's all it would have taken to keep the BNP at bay..

Though, as Fraiser said, I believe that them winning isn't neccesarily the end of the world. I think it will actually do the country some good as long as we as a people make sure that the BNP ideals are kept at bay, kept back.

So far this morning. I have woken up (this was a challenge in itself) and put some washing on. For my next trick, I shall fill in my TAP application form properly, eek. Wonder what Ronnie's going to put on his section? Along those lines, I really must get him to email Nicole Williamson and get a new login for the Intermediate level WDS courses. Oh, and get that fricking wrist rest. Not been hurting the last few days but that means nothing.

Currently listening to: the sound of my washing machine shaking my kitchen to bits - and yes, it is level!

Glad to see that you're not taking your recent elections as hard as I did mine.

The BBC doesn't mince words regarding this Evans fellow, do they? It's interesting to see your media use words like "devastating" to describe his win.

Hopefully, as you say, it will be motivation for people to stay on their toes.

As for us, well, I just don't know what to say...

Well, the BNP aren't nice people - more to the point, the BNP's agenda isn't nice. Words like "devastating" won't come close if they get much more in the way of power.

So, are the BNP good at spinning good propaganda, or are the voters becoming less nice?

The BNP are fantastic at propoganda. They are your standard white <insert culture here> party who aim at people's fears.

Ah. Yes. Fear. Nothing seems to motivate people towards idiocy like fear, as we learned from Michael Moore, eh?
