I've been eager to get back into learning again for a long time. I don't want to go to uni full or even part time. All I want is to learn something. I'm not learning anything new at work. I've got the learning gym at work but that's limited. I've got the internet but that's not the best playground for learning, in my experience.

So, today I went to the bookshop in Greenock and asked them to get hold of Roger Muncaster's A-Level Physics, so I can catch up on that. I might look at doing a OU course or similar in Physics, as I really do want to do this. I need to do something. Something. Somehow.

Hey hunny :)
Can identify - I start my BA in Classics & Religion with the OU in Feb and I'm really excited :) It's well worth doing something so you avoid that "my brains are rotting" feeling. I think you've *just* got about enough time to register for this year if you're quick. Go for a 30-pointer course, it's about £260 and you can pay in installments. Better than taking on a full 60-point course and being overfaced.

Andrew says you can borrow his copy of Ohanian Physics when you come down, if you like (it's A-level to 1st year grade) and he's happy to help. Also remember to chat with R&J - they've just both passed their first years with OU; R doing foundation science and J doing maths.

*huggles, happy new year for tomorrow, and see you soon!*
