Reminded me. I renewed my car tax today. 12mths for £110. Argh. Damn and blast. I felt like not bothering and telling the DVLA where they could shove their tax disc. Then realised that this was probably a very bad idea.
Anyway. That's that sorted out until next year. A year's TPFT insurance and a year's tax. A year's MOT from April or thereabouts. All I need worry about now is petrol, which is cheap compared to everything else!
Ronnie got an email back from the H.R. department saying that they can't fix their problem until next month. What the hell? If I make a screw up in my job, I will apply credits as soon as possible to fix the problem. If a cashier at a supermarket makes a mistake, either tham or a manager will fix it as soon as it's spotted and brought up. Why then, is it so difficult for T-Mobile's payroll dept to give me a BACS transfer to my account - they have the details! Why can't they give me a cheque? Again - it's a simple calculation. ARGH!
I am currently downloading O Brother, Where Art Thou. Have been for the last 2 days in fact :) Bought it on DVD but have lent it to someone before I could watch it. Love the film, really need to get Homer's Oddysey someday and actually read it. And Dante's Inferno. I've wanted read both of these for ages but never got round to getting hold of a copy.
