Has anyone seen anything about these Xelibri thingies? Apparently Siemens have been developing some new Mobile phone things, they're supposed to be a mix between a fashion accessory and wearable personal communication device.

I can't figure out what market they're aiming them at - the adverts are running on Nick, but they cost over £200 each.

Hmm. I fancy leftover curry.

I saw an ad for them but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what they actually were, or what they were called. It seemed like one of the most uninformative ads I have ever seen...

I saw the ads briefly and spent 10 minutes searching online trying to find out what the actual spelling was :)

The ads are shite, but it's common advertising - you don't advertise the product, you advertise the lifestyle. And they're advertising a hip young guy with a communication device that you don't see but revolutionises his life.

Kinda :)

They are probably wanting the tweenagers and teenagers to decide that they want one and will whinge and whine @ parents until they are bought one.

That's not a viable long term marketing strategy though. Works short term but you know what short attention spans kids have...

True but that would explain the placing of an ad on nick...

Or at least if I was marketing that's what I'd do...

They also have adverts for "Purple Loans" and "Yes Car Credit" on Nick - I really don't think they're aimed at the kids, more the adults sat with them ;)
