The sex scene wasn't too bad. The orgasm cake, however, was atrocious. So was the entire Merovingan/Persphone thing. Gah. And I agree with most of your assessment, esp. on plot development.

The Merovingian thing, it gets a little more interesting if you look into the history of the Mervingians. Not much :)

The cake had a purpose but blah.

Thinking on it, the thing that annoyed me the most was that the film didn't end. It isn't a film in it's own right.

The cake had a point? I missed that.

But yeah, I agree, it didn't have decent beginning, and it certainly didn't have an end. Neither did it have its own plot. It carried plot from Part 1 and plot for Part 3, but no, it wasn't actually a film.

Going to see it again on Thursday, coz Trinity is pretty. :-P (Also, one wonders whether it improves when not watched back to back with Part 1.)
