Yeah. Fun. Lots of.

It almost started badly though. I got to Glasgow at 0830, sat in Starbucks for a half-hour and when I got to the Moss Bros store, they couldn't find my kilt! Argh! After a half-hour or so of waiting, they found something which they said was mine :)

Driving... I had meticulously planned my route. I knew it and went through it several times before and whilst driving. Why, then, whey when I got to Coldstream and had to turn onto the A697 (or whatever) - why did I carry on driving down the A68? A half-hour later I was wondering why none of the towns I was going through were on the map, thinking "it's just because I'm navigating and driving at once, let's stop". Then, and only then did I figure my mistake and go on a merry jaunt throughout the B-roads of Scotland.

Fun.

The castle was another section of fun :) It's a gorgeous place, hard to get in to if you don't know where the gates are! Spent a few minutes driving round it trying to find the obvious place.

Inside it's even nicer. After I found the party sipping champagne out the bottle in the sun, things started to get nicer!

Uhh. Kiltage was had, photos were taken, and the ceremony began. The thing that really, ehh, didn't bother me as such, but it did niggle, was the number of cameras. It looked like every second person had one. I really felt for Caroline and Andrew when they got mobbed on the signing of the stuff.

The ceremony was nice, short but very sweet.
The dress was stunning.
Andrew's kilt and shirt, looked great on him. Don't think I could pull it off :P
Marie, Helen, whasserface from C's work whose name I couldn't remember all day (Justine!!!) were all particularly gorgeous :)
Ruth, Jane and Glynn all did well in their duties and didn't cry once!

Food was good, service a little on the chaotic side. I was led to believe that the caterers would know who was eating what, so didn't bother to check or remember. The best bit came after :)

Lots of drink, lots of people being very silly, lots of flirting and lots of hugs. Mead, champagne, beer, whisky, all were drunk in copious quantities. After drink, a tour of the castle (the dungeons! OH the dungeons... ), all the young whippersnappers ended up in front of a roaring log fire in the bar, which closed at midnight and the party moved back to one of the apartments!

Mwahahahaaaah!
Lots of fun.
Lots.
Wanna go back.

I shall be able to show you pictures in the not-too distant future, I am sure.

And I would happily wear a skirt, if the stakes were high enough :)

yes but don't forget we saw what you were wearing underneath your kilt and we were all very disappointed. Ruthy Angela, Marie and I all thought you were a real scotsman ;)

But as I said many times, if you knew you were going to be attacked by hordes of ravenous women (and men!) I'm sure you would want to try and keep some modesty :P

Pah! that's all I want to sayand we weren't all revenous! And I don't know the next time when I'll have the envious position of being able to check out what a scotsman wears under his kilt ;)

I'm free to be checked anytime.

And I tell you, you all definitely looked ravenous to me. Or maybe that was just my wishful thinking.

So I was informed by the lady Ruthy today, I am quite disturbed.

Any chance you could send me the offending pic? :)
