The weekend cometh. The weekend cometh in an intimidating fashion. Mainly because today I am hungover (ouch). Yesterday was a stunning day and I got invited to a BBQ with folks from work. Very nice indeed, with lots of food and booze. Walking home was fun.

Anyhow. Today car was washed. Very well, too. For only £3 the car is the cleanest I have ever seen it, even after I have done it, and I thought I did a pretty good job. I'll be going back there :)

And today, I am going to my parents' this afternoon. Hopefully not for too long, because I really do need to organise my stuff for the interview and for the weekend. I need maps, I need clothes, I need sleep. I need to figure out what to take, full stop!

And it's quite warm, though very breezy. So I have had a breeze running through the house all day, which is very pleasant.

Best route to Sunderland? Uhhhhmmmm.... M8 / A1, or M74 / A66? They're both horrid. I'll decide tomorrow :)

Byeeeee!

You'll walk it - nay bother. What time are you expecting to land at ours tomorrow?

FWIW I'd go M8/A1, but that's cos that's the only route I know. :) If you have to do the Tyne Tunnel make sure you shut all the vents, it's vile in there.

Apparently, according to Multimap, that is a lot slower. *shrugs* M8/M73/M74/A66 it is, then!

The A66 is also a pretty cross-Pennine route I believe :-)

I usually do M74 then A69. None of them are nice, but I find that route minimises the time on crap roads. The A66 is very pretty yes, but a nasty road.

Pretty roads are all very good, but when would I notice that if I'm concentrating on the cars in front of me? :)

I eventually decided to go for the M74/A69 - much more sensible. 4hrs all told, included a couple of wrong turns *G*
