I did an hour's worth of overtime tonight. Damn, I remember now why I stopped doing it. Work is depressing enough when there are people around you that you can chat to, people you can go "duhh, what a wanker" to.

But having to deal with someone who complained every second of the call that they "were being charged 20p a minute because I couldn't get through on that free number" when I could see perfectly well that they hadn't tried, for over 10 minutes... that's just depressing.

I'm making jumbo frankfurter sandwiches. My fridge is looking particularly bare right now. I really need to do a decent shop, but I am trying to keep my food bill at a "reasonable" level, and this means no daring midnight runs to the supermarket when I have the munchies :)

I did a massive MP3 munch the other day. Sucked all my MP3s that I don't have on Audio CD onto the laptop. This means instant music collection, anywhere I go. Was fed up with not being able to NFS mount my mp3 dir over the net thanks to not being bothered to set up the Broadband router properly ;)

Le sigh, only 2 more days off work to go, then Tues and Weds off - these shift swaps are screwing with my timetable. I don't know what day it is anymore.
Music:: Tchaicovsky's Symphony #5 on BBC 4
Mood:: 'annoyed' annoyed

speaking of mp3s I still haven't gotten CDs from you...
I should also be around a good portion of SUnday (except for running around on some errands if you want to give me a ring.

I haven't got round to sending you a 2nd CD just yet. Been forgetful. I'm off on Tuesday, I'll try and do it then.

I'm off now - maybe give a call.

yes, I love the convenience of having all the MP3s at my fingertips--it's certainly easier than lugging CDs all around I very rarely buy any CDs and when I do (i.e. for 2 euros apiece in Madrid) I quickly burn and ditch them
Shift swaps always made me crazy

Yeah, having the MP3s on CDs sucks - having to chop and change between the different CDs is a pain. I used to have some nifty software which would construct playlists from various CDs and copy them to a temp dir, but hardly an elegant solution.

There appears to be a huge partition on this hard disk that I never knew about giving me all this space. Shucks :)
