I would offer a hand to list them but there's absolutely nothing I could even help with.

Are you amazoning or otherwise? Would it be worth taking books to second hand shops and seeing what they would give you? At least that way you have a definite income there and then rather than a possible income.

I'm doing pretty well with Amazon. Have made 30 quid tonight just off two books. In the last month I'm looking at about 150 quid all told, although a lot of that was CDs, they seemed to go very quickly. Would you believe there are no second hand bookshops in Bolton? Going off my experience of shops in Edinburgh they only give you buttons, really - so many house clearances, so little space, ya see. Even with Amazon's cut and the postage I'm getting a fair price for most things.

I guess what I was getting towards is that there are always going to be some things you just can't sell. I've been lucky, I've been selling popular stuff so just about everything apart from the A-Level maths course books sold.

What you gonna do with them? I was thinking ebay was another possible solution.

Well, so far I've only got three books that can't be listed because they're way old, sixties stuff, and they were charity shop buys anyway - I don't think I spent more than a pound all told. So I'll just cut my losses on those and either keep them or send them to the nearest jumble sale. I have quite a lot of hard-to-find books listed now, so I've been able to put a good price on them (more than I paid for them, anyhow ;).

Amazon's great, especially if your books are out of print. People can see that they're available when they go searching for new titles.

eBay is also pretty good; got some good buys on there. But if your titles aren't in demand, you can end up selling for peanuts on eBay..
