I'm very curious right about now. I'd love to know about two things. kundrun and pipsytip and ruthytoothy are supposed to be heading out tonight, and I want to know what's going on! I'd love to be there as a fly on the wall :)

I've spent some of tonight playing with gmmusic. Yet another CD database. I don't know why I keep on bothering - I haven't found one yet that does what I want it to do. It's a simple request really. What I want, is a music database that allows you to assign multiple artists to a track or album. After all, how many songs on your CDs have two or more artists?

Annoyingly enough, gmmusic doesn't appear to make it easy to change an artist's name once in the database. For example - I have one CD in there under "Matthews, Dave", but want to change it to "Dave Matthews Band". It won't let me, because I have existing CDs under DMB. Grr. Slight annoyance.

Someday I am going to write one of my own. Problem being that my databse knowledge is pathetic. I wouldn't know where to start. Perhaps I should rip apart gmmusic and find out how _they_ do it.

I am curious as to what was going on earlier. Odd remark, yes. About 6pm, 3 or 4 fire engines went hurtling past the house, and not long after I could smell smoke really strongly. I couldn't see anything though, but the smell has lingered for the longest time.

I am wondering what to write. You all know and will say that "it's your journal and you can write what you want to". s'not that easy though :) I definitely want to copy one line of what pipsytip said in her journal: "I feel very lucky to have found someone who gets me so completely". It feels like the longest time...
