Tinsley, hmmm.

Looking at the map you have the Meadowhall shopping centre on your doorstep plus the M1 motorway, plus probably Sheffield Supertram too - all good, but it's not a very beautiful area of Sheffield. Mainly industrial (some of it derelict / flattened) and not a lot of housing proportionally.

The area may suffer from constant M1 / Meadow hall visitor road noise and odours from that big sewage works north of you if the wind is in the wrong direction! You are close to the bottom of the Don valley there which doesn't look very inviting from the train which goes along the other side. Keep it in mind and go look at it perhaps but I'd keep looking if I were you so you have something to compare it with.

Something tells me you can probably do better than Tinsley. As a very general rule the west side of Sheffield is nicer than the east. Give me a ring if you need to.

I did notice the sewerage works, the M1 and the shopping centre. It's one of those locations that I think needs to be seen in person :)

It's a central spot, no doubt about it - and for that reason worth going to look at. It'd just be good to have a few others to compare it with. If there are any spots on the map that 'look' interesting it's worth going for a drive or walk around them anyway, just so you can get a feel for whether you'd want to live there and so perhaps narrow your search area down a bit by inclusion or exclusion.

Yup. I am only just started here so I'm looking at it from the point of view of someone who is purely interested in price and physical location :) When I get down there and am able to see the properties and locations I'll be in a much better position :)

Just wandering around places helped me make a few decisions even before I found specific rooms in those places to look at.
