A woman's touch

I need a new job.

The signs have been bubbling away for a while now but I've been ignoring them, or too busy to notice them. I'm unhappy at work, I'm unhappy away from work, it's taking over my life and causing me to wonder what on earth I'm doing here still, working in what works out to be pretty much the same job as I started 21mths ago as a stop-gap.

I don't know what I want to be doing, which doesn't help. I don't want to be in Customer Service any more. I want to be doing something vaguely interesting. If I can, I want to geek. I want something to stretch me, to make me think. Not something that involves saying the same things 100 times a day.

I was talking with Jane last night and she wangled it out of me. I didn't want to admit it - but I think I did really want to admit it. Just took a bit of dragging. Then I got a really nice card from her this morning which made me smile mightily.

Silly lady.
