More work, I'm afraid
At work yesterday (Tuesday), I was messing about and sent Andrew (a new bloke in our team, has moved over from another team) a message to his PC (you know, by typing "net send <username> <message>" in a DOS prompt) so it pops up on his screen. Just a pisstake, and we'd been messing about all morning anyhow. I thought he'd see it and go "ha ha, who was that" and forget about it.
No. No of course not. He only has to go and report it to Information Systems. For some fucking stupid reason he managed to take something pathetic and piddly like this and make it a massive thing. He changed his mind later on in the day and tried to tell them that it wasn't anything that he wanted to take further, but the IS people wouldn't listen and stated that now it'd been reported it needed to go further.
Furious, doesn't come close. I was absolutely mad. He knew that I was in trouble already but decided that he didn't care. In fact he said to me "I hope you lose your job". This guy is 18yrs old, and boy did he show it yesterday.
In the end, I left work after having sent Dona (who once again seems to be pushing things so far up her own arse she spits the words back out again) an email saying "I won't be in tomorrow, or the next day, or the next". If I was to have gone back in today I would have fallen apart. I went to the doc's and got a sicknote today and intend to use the time to get my appeal in order and apply for as many jobs as I can find.
Someone from HR called me as apparently I've caused them some concern, they seem to have realised that in fact they've provided no support to me since I've moved down and are trying to make up for it now by trying to be supportive.
Apparently they've decided not to do anything with it, not to take any action on that front. That helps me out and reduces my stress level an awful lot, but I've still got the appeal to look forward to.
