Ronnie's gone.
OK I probably shouldn't be too upset about it but he's now dead. Ronnie was
my first team manager in Greenock and was fab. Like him lots. Wasn't old,
probably about 50-something. I was talking to someone from Greenock a
second ago and they mentioned it, taken me by surprise a little...

A lot.

Actually (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), but IIRC under UK law, by adding a disclaimer (automatically or otherwise) to the bottom of an email the company are making themselves partially responsible for the message because by modifying the contents they are deemed to have acted in an editorial capacity. I'm told there's precedent for this, but I couldn't quote a case to back it up.

Common sense says that this is rubbish because even if it is being edited, it's being automatically done, and no human ever comes close to seeing outgoing emails. I've googled all the bigger law news sites and can't find anything in particular...
