Working 9-5 Thurs-Sat. s'not a bad stretch. Then back on lates Mon-Fri I think. Have to check my diary to be sure.
Looking forward to the changes in TDMS now because I will be able to find out about shift changes. I'm hoping and hoping that we'll get put on 10.5hr shifts. This is because you work a max of 3 days on, then get 2 days off. The pattern I'm hoping is:
It's a good pattern because it's regular, you get the same days off every 2 weeks, you only work 50% weekends, you never do more than 3 days on in a row and get 3 weekends every 2 weeks :) You do work every Friday but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
The other options are to work splits (roughly 7am-11am/6pm-10pm Mon-Fri), which are horrible long term, permanent lates/earlies (Mon-Fri only, but I don't want to do either as I struggle with the earlies and perm lates rules out seeing Jane weekday evenings), 9hr shifts (5 days a week with a fixed weekday off every week, 50% weekends).
I think the 10.5hr shifts rock. They're perfect for me, delivering a good mix of weekends off and weekdays off.
