A comment in here that basically said Livejournal was becoming too much of a community. Now I KNOW I'm a relative newbie (*g*) but I can't understand the community aspect - I use Livejournal to read my journal and to see if there's anything interesting going on in other people's - I don't see the people in my "friends" list as being actual friends necessarily (Sorry!), just people who's journals I find interesting.
I recently looked at one lady who had over 900 (I think) friends. *sighs* I think that is a silly silly thing to be doing :) I like the fact I can keep up with people and find out what they're doing or maybe feeling - whatever they WANT me to find out and do it fairly attentively.
Anyhow, back to topic - I use this place as a diary. Not as a community. I have kept diaries online in various places and formats for 3 years now, and none of them had communities based around the diary aspect. I hope this place doesn't descend into anything like that (diary-based communities, leaving people who have diaries here messages and dissallowing anonymous comments) for me.
