More applications filled in and needing to be sent off, will do that tomorrow morning methinks. I'm hoping I can arrange to have a new job for the beginning/middle of November so that I can take advantage of a shorter notice period (if I don't accept the change of employer to TSC my employment will be terminated on the transfer date).

Job hunting really is soul-destroying. I've sent out more emails I care to think of and the proportion of which I have got a reply to within 24hrs (or 1 working day) is shockingly low. And these are just enquiries about advertised positions, not even applications. You'd almost think that these people don't care about filling the positions.

TBH my life has pretty much been consumed by job hunting, working, and spending time with [livejournal.com profile] pipsytip over the past 2 weeks or so. On Sunday we both headed up north of Barnsley (towards Wakefield) to the Angler's Country Park. Very nice it is too. No pics as didn't think about taking camera, but next time... It's a nice walk around the lake, a couple of hides dotted around and I can see myself heading there fairly often.

I want a bike. I like cycling and ever since my bike was harfinched from my rented student house in Manchester (long story) I never replaced it. Perhaps I should ask the parents for one for a birthday/christmas pressie :) It's very different from walking - and I always enjoyed it a lot more for some reason. I dunno, maybe I'm just a speed demon *laughs*

Whilst driving there I noticed some sailing going on on a nearby lake. Looks like a possible place to go and carry on learning, but looking at their website... maybe not. mmm.

Give me a shout if you'd like to share jobseeking experiences with someone who is in a similar frustrating position, if you're bored one afternoon or something...

Yep, it will cost you £15 to do it, may be cheaper to get it unlocked in some dodgy shop on the Great Western Road or something similar. Though you will void your warranty :)
