Considering it's now gone 2:30am and I'm still awake. Tired but awake. I guess we can say sleep isn't going to come easily to me today, which is a shame because I really do need it. I could do with falling asleep right now and not waking until 6:45 - leaving me tired but functional. Rather than the utterly shattered I will prove to be.
Whilst home from overtime today (yesterday) I received a phone call from some random recruitment agency saying they had a position with BT Mobile open, told me about it and as always I said "yes, put me up for it", because you know you can't turn down these things. I was then told that if wanted, the interview would be tomorrow (today), and to expect a call back the same day.
When I hadn't heard anything by 5pm I'd given up pretty much and was telling people about it, when I got the call. Tracey called me from BT Mobile, talked to me about what I do currently and asked me to an interview tomorrow (today) at 9am in Leeds.
She described the job to me, and it sounds good. 3rd line support, so basically doing what SID (Service Interface Desk) at T-Mobile do - being the interface between 2nd line support and the service providers (for example, MMS in T-Mob is run by T-Mob Germany and SID liaise with them). With BT-Mob it would be an interface between the support departments and the network providers (BT Mob are a VNO - Virtual Network Operator. They rent network minutes and usage from companies who have network hardware).
I was excited beyond belief. I panicked. I don't own an iron (shocking) and didn't know if any of my smart clothes still fitted (I don't do smart for work, why should I when the punters can't see me?). I borrowed an iron from Kev at work who lives round the corner and tried on my suit, which miraculously still fits! I found where this place is, panicked some more, relaxed a little, recorded that phone post and went to bed.
And here I am. Nearly 3am. And I can't sleep. Need sleep or caffeine.
