Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does
Having [livejournal.com profile] sbj180 on your friends list makes this virtually impossible. I think I am going to go with..... "Mali Music" featuring Damon Albarn, Afel Bocoum, and others (http://www.musicomh.com/albums/damon-albarn.htm, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/1926727.stm).

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does
A book simply entitled "Fetish" edited by Tony Mitchell - fetish photography. Other than that, if you mean "literature".... how about "The Q Letters" by Sir John.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does
Metropolis, or Das Boot

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has.
St Mungo's cathedral, Glasgow? Unlikely... fairly popular tourist spot. The necropolis nearby? :) As much as I love it and find it an unlikely tourist place, someone here must have been there?

The launch pad at Cape Canaveral? There's a good one. Whilst my dad was working over there one year we got driven over the spot where the rockets launch from, weren't allowed out though :(

Das Boot: You nearly had to remove that from your list. I have in the past sought a cheap copy - quite a good film, if a little grizzly.

It's a fabulous film, a bit long and as you say quite grizzly. Well worth the effort of watching. I think much better if you read the book first, though!

Hence why I said someone here must have been there :) I know plenty of folk from Glasgow...

Oh it is. Some very sexy stuff in there. Some extraordinarily scary stuff too :)

Do you know about the Q letters? :)

Nope, don't know about the Q letters.

Amusingly enough the 'Buy This With' suggestion (Mammoth Book of Illustrated Erotica (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0786709219/ref=pd_bxgy_text_1/102-5886940-2366505?v=glance&s=books&st=*)) is one I've wanted for some time, however I didn't have my ID with me the last time I managed to find it in the bookstore :/

mmm, I think I want it. *plots and schemes, wonders if amazon UK has it for sale*

Yes they do, but damnit it's more expensive to buy here than it is from Amazon US+shipping! How stooopid!

that's nuts.
and how much does Amazon US rip you off for shipping?

posted by [identity profile] phil99.livejournal.com at 11:00am on 19/10/2004
'bout US$5 IIRC

wow, not much more than it would cost to ship it from the US. They need an international media mail option

Indeed it does, thanks for the linky goodness.

It's from the series The Grid, which aired on TNT this summer starring Julianna Margulies and Dylan McDermott. JM had the shower scene (in the icon) with her boyfriend and it got such crap from the right wing conservatives abot smut on TV, when a) it was cable and b) you couldn't see much of anything . A couple people pitched a tizzy over it on another forum I frequent so Erica made me the icon to annoy people.

Oh come on - do these people really think that sex is evil, bad and shouldn't ever be expressed on TV?

I say BAH to them.

I like the icon though, is hawt :)

that, and it's not any worse than the ER episode that had a tub scene.
