Went into work, hoping that they'd at least manage to find something for me to do that didn't involve talking - my throat's really bad today. Nope, said "take calls as normal". Tried, gave up an hour later. Said "I can't do this" and the response was "well, there's nothing else to do but send you home".
I can't believe they've got nothing else productive I can do other than take calls.

I was in your boat just a few weeks back. I had zero voice, missed 4 out of my 6 shifts because they didn't have any "off the phone" work for me. and it turned into a huge drama because I drove there to tell them I couldn't speak (as calling with no voice was pointless) and they told me that I would still have to CALL every day I was scheduled to work that I could not make it in!
tea. lots of tea. a hot soak in the tub will do wonders. salt water gargles. and take advantage of the time off, and get some good sleep!

I think I'm going for a bath with some Lush Products - especially Big Blue!

There's one called "party girl" or something similar, which has glitter in it - I don't get it myself - but the gf loves it. Glitter gets absolutely everywhere, and you end up leaving some on everything that you touch for days afterwards ;)

maybe I should get some of that and sent to it to his wife as a gift.
*grins*
I think I may have to search some of that out for myself as well.... and heck, my cats love bathtime! fun for all!

Lush stuff is delicious, apparently. It's all natural and hand made, most of it smells gorgeous and makes you feel like a queen. Well worth the money.
That's what Jane says, so I believe her :) I agree for the stuff that I've used. Pricey but worth it.
