Friday I came home to find Jane here, hurrah! Well I didn't think that at the time - she wasn't supposed to be here so I hadn't tidied, changed the bed, washed up, anything. Hugs, tea and sleep.
I woke Jane up early on Saturday so that we could head off to Huddersfield. We were both surprised by how big the place is and how much stuff there is! I don't know what I expected really, but it wasn't that :) Bought new ankle boots from Clarks on sale. Had a nice day.
Made a casserole with sweet potato mash on Saturday night which turned out really nice. Will definitely do that again. Introduced Jane to Rollercoaster Tycoon, which I regretted for a while ;) She spent hours on it!
Sunday was Leeds (well... Jct 27 M62 nr Ikea). Spent a bit of cash on cookbooks in borders - one very interesting "Sausage and Mash" - various recipes based around well..... Sausages and potatoes! Also Madhur Jaffrey's "An Invitation to Indian Cooking", which goes right back to basics. Poked round DFS and drooled over a 2seat leather sofa with electric recliner, selling for the minor sum of £1,100 (half price in sale). Were probed by salesman until I made it clear we weren't interested.
Home, made shephard's pie. mmmmm. Turned out nice. Must do it again soon.
Then she left - *sulks*
I'm working lates Mon/Tues/Weds/Sat/Sun this week which is going to be a little tough, but I'm sure I'll survive, eh.
