We never did see "Hitch" because it hadn't been released. Duhh :)

Instead of Hitch we (being me and the Jane) went to see "Million Dollar Baby" - neither of us knew much about it other than there was boxing and Clint Eastwood in it. I can't say much other than "wow". I didn't expect that much emotion from that film. Came away not tearful but definitely caught off guard.

Saturday night we also went to see "Constantine". Again - whoa! I didn't know anything other than what was in the trailers. Jane had told me that the Jon Constantine character appeared in some graphic novels she had read but I was going in blind. I was blown away. On the edge of my seat at points and thoroughly drawn in by the story.

It wasn't necessarily believable but it was done in such a way that it didn't matter - the comic roots of the film came through loud and clear. Well worth watching, very much fun, will look for the DVD whenever I can get it.

you can peruse the graphic novels that Constantine is in. Quite quite good stuff really. Well Hellblazer (his own series) goes up and down depending on who is writing it but the Garth Ennis run is well worth a read.
