When the HECK did it become 1am? I have been playing with JAWMail, trying to make it work (I wanted a change from Squirrelmail, however Jawmail appears to be really quite crap now it works) and noted midnight, but 1 already?
Jane and I have been to see Ruth and John today, as they are down in Bolton doing housey things. I feel bad for not going to the north of Scotland to see them in some odd way, it's not that I don't want to - lord knows I want to see what's up there and explore - but I have doubts about the costs involved in travelling over 400miles each way (according to Multimap). I don't know how much it would actually cost - but it sounds like a lot!
Thinking about it now... I can get about 350-400miles out of a full tank depending on conditions, so we're only talking about £80-£100 - shared between two peeps it isn't as bad as I'd imagined. Still more cash than I have right now (MOT and tax both due this month!). So maybe we'll look into it sooner than I expected.
They both look a lot happier than I've seen them in a long time. John appeared exhausted (after driving through the night I'm not surprised!), but happy enough. Ruth looked happy and smiling and not stressed. This is good. Maybe everybody should do what they've done once in a while :)
