Set off from Shropshire about 0715, didn't then arrive home until 10am! Normally a 2hr drive, but the M56/M60 area was nasty nasty nasty. Not too bad, as I had worked out I didn't need to be in Meadhowhall until 11.

Turns out I miscalculated. I took the train to Sheffield after parking at Meadowhall, which meant I didn't get there until 11, and then had to walk to the shop which was another 15mins. Then the bloody place was closed! There was a sign on the door saying it would be open again later but I couldn't hang around!

Called up the company and told them, I still expect payment for that, as I could have been doing other things in the time I was travelling there. Arrived at Meadowhall again, visited the shop I was doing and had a great time being shown how to play Warhammer, had lunch at Pizza Express (yummy), visited the other shop I was doing, by this time I was an hour later than I wanted to be :(

Managed to squeeze in 3 of the 4 gambling stores I was meant to do this afternoon, just. Cancelled the other one 'cuz I can't do it before the due date.

I've been home about 2hrs and have just finished my paperwork.
Phew, what a day.

hi,

have you any experience of t-mobile's mda+copilot? are they any good?

i'm thinking about going for an upgrade from my lowly 6610i and the upgrade price they have quoted me while quite a lot for a phone is nothing for a sat nav system.... but i don't want it if shitty windows is gonna crash every 5 minutes and lose all my sms and phone book all the time.

I know the MDA compact VERY well. It's a lovely piece of kit and I want one. The MDA is just as nice though bigger, too big for my likings.

It doesn't crash, it doesn't lose information and it doesn't have any "problems" that I know of. You may wanna be careful if you're looking at upgrading - you may have been quoted a cost without co-pilot, as I don't think we do upgrades with the satnav things, though I don't know for certain.

yeah i definitely asked for the compact with the copilot.

they said they don't have any in stock but if i went to a t-mobile store and told them the people on the upgrade line had quoted me such and such a price they would do me a deal...

How much are they quoting you for the whole package?

i wrote it down on a bit of paper at work. hehe.

but it was something like, my account has a 79.99 discount, and then she was going to add 50 quid, and the package started at 279.99 ? so it was like 150? or 140? or thereabouts anyway.

but the weird bit was i said i didn't mind changing price plan, cos i'm only on everyone 200 off peak (15 quid) at the moment, and she was like no no no the computer knows best and it says thats the right price plan for you. so the prices she was quoting was to stay on everyone 200 off peak for 12 month extension (i said i'd rather 12 than 18)

I've never understood why everyone is so sure that their price plan affects your upgrade costs. It doesn't, at least not directly. It all depends how much you spend, what calls you make (cross network calls cost TM more than on-net calls, for example - international calls cost them pennies but they charge you a fortune) and your length of tenure.

Sounds like a good price for it, wish we could do that kind of thing but as staff we pay RRP for handsets.
